Cross Country

On Saturday 26th of May, my dad, my brother and I biked to Waipuna park so I could do the Cross Country run. I ran 2kms for the Cross Country run.The run was shorter then the school one.I thought it was longer then the school one but it was shorter.When I crossed the finish line I came 17th.I felt good about my place.

How do we predict?

Predicting is when we guess what is going to happen next in the story. Sometimes we predict during and after the story. Also we have predicted the characters future.

Predicting sentence starters:

>I'll bet... because
>I wonder if... because
> I imagine...because
>I suppose...because
>The style of this author is...so I think...
>From what I already know about...I predict

How do we summarise?

To summarise we take the main points or key words of a story and write a paragraph about the book using the key points.
